The Inventory Specialist is responsible for the timely and efficiency movement of finished goods between Libbey facilities.  In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining all requisite inventory control programs within the distribution center. 



Inventory Maintenance and Integrity

  • Performs inventory-auditing functions, including cycle counts, along with random and requested location and item checks of finished good inventory.
  • Assists in the creation, follow-up and maintenance of inventory (warehousing) standard operating procedures.
  • Assists with the planning and coordination of warehouse resources.
  • Performs PkMS system functions related to the generation and validation of cycle counts, tracking item movement history, inventory inquiries, along with advance warehouse module item and location set-up inquiries.
  • Effectively communicates to internal and external customers regarding inventory inquiries and requests. 
  • Accurately completes all documentation.

Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP)

  • Coordinator for interplant shipments between the Toledo Distribution Center, other Libbey Distribution Centers and third party locations.
  • Entry of ST/OT transfer orders, scheduling of outbound and inbound interplant and sub-contractor shipments.
  • Management of door audit and inventory related corrections.
  • Interprets and analyzes PkMS reports and system data utilized to effectively plan and perform DRP activities.
  • Performs PkMS load build functions for outbound shipments, along with receiving and putaway functions for inbound interplant shipments.
  • Responsible to assist with the planning and coordination of resources for interplant activities.
  • Responsible for scheduling of carriers for loading and unloading of interplant shipments.
  • Responsible to accurately resolve physical v/s PkMS system inventory issues related to interplant shipments.
  • Effectively communicates to internal and external customers.
  • Accurately completes all documentation.

Space Coordinator

  • Responsible for the effective planning and maximum utilization of warehouse space.  Includes both Toledo Distribution Center and outside warehouse locations.
  • Responsible for the coordination of intra-plant shipments between the Toledo Distribution Center and outside warehouse facilities.
  • Performs PkMS functions as related to the putaway, replenishment and repile of finished goods inventory. 
  • Responsible to assist with the planning and coordination of resources for finished good inventory movements.
  • Responsible for location maintenance inside PkMS as well as location profile such as min/max etc.



Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast paced work environment
  • Effectively work with Libbey’s JDE, WM, ITLS and application software
  • PC skills, including Microsoft Office 


  • Exhibit sound judgment and professionalism in all aspects of the position
  • Safety in the office environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers to operate office tools
  • Frequent speaking/listening in face-to-face and/or phone conversations
  • Occasional reaching above shoulders, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching
  • Close-up vision necessary



  • College degree or equivalent logistics experience (2 – 5 years)
  • A passion to grow
