The Consultant, Business Technology Solutions role within the Corporate Information Technology (IT) organization serves as the primary contact and liaison between the Libbey business community and Information Technology. This individual is a technical subject matter expert who collaborates with business areas as assigned, including functional managers, regional leadership, and senior executives, to plan, execute and deploy solutions supporting the Libbey strategic initiatives.



  • Assist business system owners on long term strategies to better leverage technology investments supporting business improvement initiatives
  • Partner with business to understand key success factors and critical business needs. Assist with prioritizing those needs and provide solutions when warranted
  • Provide perspective, and priority to the IT service teams, as needed, regarding business support, issue resolution, and/or risk prevention activities
  • Responsible for collecting, understanding, and documenting business requirements and translating those into functional specifications. Exhibit the ability to translate functional requirements in a manner that may be understood by the technical team
  •  Partner with the business on solution evaluations including RFP development and related proposal evaluations
  • Manage projects, following established processes, procedures and utilizing common project management tools. Responsible for all planning, coordinating and execution and will lead project status meetings. Maintain and control project budget, schedule, and resources.
  • Maintain a level of knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies.
  • Provide application configuration guidance to partners or Libbey technical team based on business acumen and/or functional requirements.  Transition knowledge to resources to operate and support business systems.


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field/equivalent work experience
  • 3-7 years of IT or functional project management and business analysis experience is required
  • 3-7 years of project leadership responsibility managing small to midsize teams and projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) desired
  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) desired
  • Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP) desired
  • Experience with project management software tools such as MS Project, Primavera or Workfront to effectively manage, monitor and control project activities
  • Dynamics 365 training and/or certification preferred
  • Six Sigma training or certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak to technical-level staff and summarize communications for executive consumption
  • Ability to identify, document, understand and effectively communicate business requirements to both functional and IT teams
  • Ability to learn, use and support applications being implemented
  • Problem-solving skills required to assist with application support
  • Works well with others in an integrated team environment; interculteral competence 
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to facilitate project planning sessions with both functional and IT team and functional requirements gathering
  • Excellent documentation skills
