Using both quantitative and qualitative approaches, the Demand Analyst is responsible for the maintenance of the demand plans within Libbey’s business systems. This includes both high level planning through our SIOP processes, as well as detail planning in the form of sku-level unit forecasts. Generation of reports and analyses to support both inter–departmental and intra-departmental functions is within the scope of the position.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and utilize statistical forecasting applications to analyze and recalibrate the sku level forecasts used in the planning & execution of product supply to effectively service our customer base
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Planning, to manage forecasted demand at sku/facility level
  • Collaborate with our Commercial Associates to identify continuous improvement opportunities and resolve root causes to forecast variances
  • Update appropriate performance metrics
  • Maintain necessary demand inputs to the monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations, Production) models and process.
  • Prepare and communicate material for the monthly Demand Consensus process
  • Manage and facilitate cross functional discussions to validate and ensure data integrity so that we are driving to a single set of demand numbers
  • Actively engage in the continuous improvement of departmental standard operating procedures and best practices
  • Generate and maintain all supporting reports and analyses
  • Serve as a key link in the demand planning aspects of the AOP (Annual Operating Plan) budgets

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Business Administration / Operations Management / Supply Chain Management/ Statistics preferred)
  • Superior knowledge and applicable understanding of Supply Chain best practices in demand, supply and inventory processes
  • Prior experience in other Supply Chain Management functions is strongly desired
  • Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain logic and functionality within ERP systems (JDE and D365 preferred)
  • Superior communications skills in written, verbal and material presentation
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others
  • Proven high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power-Point)
  • Solid SQL data-mining expertise preferred
  • APICS, IBF and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Occasional travel may be required
