EDI Analyst

The EDI Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and documents. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that EDI-related production and procedures are properly executed, including development, change requests, and enterprise integration projects. The EDI Analyst will also act as liaison between end users and the IT staff implementing EDI-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to support inquires and incidents with existing EDI configurations, transactions and failures
  • Demonstrate deep experience with EDI files and related business processes
  • Solve complex data integration and data management challenges
  • In addition to supporting existing configurations, the EDI Support Analyst will be responsible for new trading partner setup, communication connectivity and onboarding
  • Ensures assigned work is meeting the expected timeline and aligns accurately to customer requirements
  • Provides technical and user training as needed and creates the technical and user documentation as needed
  • Individual assignments may vary based on individual expertise and on various technologies deployed and may include work outside of EDI
  • Ensures that all processes and procedures including software changes are performed in an audit worthy manner
  • Off hours demands may be frequent due to problem resolution or planned downtime events

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related degree, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of Electronic Data Interchange experience
  • Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; Office 365 experience desirable
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations application (formerly known as “AX”) desirable
  • Experience with SQL and DBU desirable
  • Familiarity with 3rd party logistics integrations and tools (Shipwire desirable)
  • Gentran experience desirable
  • Strong understanding of principles and implementation of data Communication Protocols such as AS2, FTP, SSL, PGP
  • Understanding of and experience working with Data Formats: XML, EDI, X12, EDIFACT, Flat File, CSV
  • Experience using Incident Management systems
  • Development and database experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Knowledge and Skills

  • Business Knowledge - Associates in this role will require notable Libbey specific business knowledge as well as general business knowledge of end-to-end order to cash processing and fulfillment
  • Should be able to communicate, verbally and in writing, technical information regarding the status of issues to I/T staff as well as internal customers in language worded appropriately for the audience
  • Communicate with internal and external customers with issues or concerns in a clear and concise manner appropriate to the audience
  • Ability to comprehend the subject matter and present ideas in a manner that influences others to accept the idea 
  • Problem Solving/Troubleshooting – Proven ability to resolve challenging application issues with minimal assistance
  • Must execute efficient course of action for resolution of multiple customer issues
  • Ability to significantly contribute to the troubleshooting effort of various issues at the same time
  • May be asked for recommendations for when to involve vendors vs. continue the internal troubleshooting process
  • Must possess wide-ranging awareness of Libbey’s application infrastructure and adhere to and advise others on processes and procedures
  • Provide regular communication updates of statuses on issues
  • Initiate or Contribute to timely root cause analysis
  • Multi-Tasking - Ability to engage in and contribute to several initiatives in a concurrent fashion.  Work closely with all areas of IT to contribute to the planning and prioritizing of IT initiatives.
  • Technical Acumen - Possess knowledge of EDI processes and best practices
  • Accountability - Must be able to follow direction and complete assigned tasks on time
