The Pricing Business Analyst drives and coordinates system implementation of pricing and promotions to help support Libbey’s direct-to-consumer business (e-commerce and in store). The ideal candidate is a collaborative self-starter who is highly organized and extremely detailed in approach.  The successful candidate must be an innovative problem solver and analytical thinker with a strong sense of urgency.

Responsibilities:

Pricing:

  • Handle all aspects of day-to-day  pricing processes: price testing, review of unit economics and conditions that require price changes, update or review and approve rule changes in pricing system, troubleshoot and resolve pricing issues
  • Collaborate closely with marketing on promotional design and analytics
  • Consider the overall direct-to-consumer business situation to develop insightful analyses to discover pricing opportunities and suggest appropriate changes to pricing strategies
  • Support the implementation of promotional programs ensuring an appropriate pricing strategy is established and can be implemented technically
  • Suggest pricing strategies for direct-to-consumer business, to drive incremental revenue growth and margin
  • Apply various pricing techniques including everyday pricing, promotional pricing and markdown pricing to help achieve marketing and sales goals
  • Measure effectiveness of existing pricing strategies and make recommendations based on this analysis
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmark prices within the marketplace
  • Utilize in-house or external pricing tools to manage and optimize product pricing
  • Ensure price management in the system is consistent to avoid price discrepancies
  • Collaborate with other functional areas, such as product management, marketing, sales, digital, finance and purchasing to support pricing recommendations
  • Provide pricing analytics research to support product line initiatives
  • Assist with setting up online promotional spiffs for clearance/discontinued products.

Market Research:

  • Analyze online and in store customer activity and behavior to identify patterns, draw conclusions, model scenarios and predict future activity
  • Analyze data to help determine consumer trends and derive insight to drive the product vision
  • Develop and launch new features and iterations of existing features in e-commerce
    • Responsible for KPI tracking: benchmarking, dashboards & reporting, measurement standards, KPI mapping

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and business acumen skills
  • A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners
  • Microsoft Office expertise
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, PowerPivot)
  • Familiar with database structure and organization
  • Familiar with .com interface
