The preferred locations for this position are Toledo, OH or Columbus, OH. However, we will consider applicants from outside these locations. 


The VP, Foodservice Sales is responsible for leading and developing a high performing foodservice sales team to deliver significant growth and increase market share.  The VP, Foodservice Sales will lead and direct all initiatives, programs and sales for all the Foodservice segments including Healthcare, Hospitality, National Accounts, Field Sales & Chain Accounts.  The Foodservice channel is recovering, as a result of Covid, so it is an important time to re-evaluate strategies to best position Libbey in the market.  This position is responsible for coaching and leading the Foodservice sales team, partnering with Marketing to define the market opportunities in this key segment, target customer accounts, develop strategies and plans for increasing Libbey’s share of business and ultimately growing Foodservice sales and margins. 


The position will lead the Foodservice Sales team to generate sales and margin growth by working closely with end users, distribution partners, and group purchasing organizations.  The VP, Foodservice Sales will also have to establish and foster cross functional relationships that enable Food Service and Libbey to be successful with their overall business.  The VP, Foodservice Sales must understand competitor trends and proactively put strategies and actions in place to grow Libbey’s market presence and share in the tabletop space.  



  • Lead and develop a high performing sales organization and go to market capability that maintains Libbey’s leadership in Foodservice
  • Ensuring a best-practice approach to sales team leadership, portfolio management, account management and new business development that improves the long-term profitability of our business.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with top customers and end users to create an advantage for Libbey. 
  • Develop and maintain an annual business plan for key accounts and end users outlining strategies to achieve company goals and Region/District sales targets working with region and territory managers
  • Effectively partner with Libbey leadership team to optimize business performance and establish strategies that improve returns on invested capital.
  • Develop and maintain pricing and programs that position Libbey appropriately in the market resulting in margin growth and increased preference for Libbey.
  • Collaborate with marketing on channel strategy and the products, programs and tools required to drive profitable growth.
  • Champion the need for process rigor and KPI management to help determine resource allocation, etc.
  • Utilize CRM tool and other Sales Effectiveness pipeline planning and review tools.  Actively manage pipeline process and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Drive CRM accountability throughout the sales organization


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Hospitality or a related field, M.B.A preferred
  • 15+ years direct selling experience (tabletop and foodservice industry a plus)
  • Proven success building, leading and transforming sales teams
  • Proven track record of building Executive level relationships in the industry and leveraging to create strategic plans that create long term value
  • Ability to demonstrate execution of and achievement of plans and goals
  • Ability to establish executive level relationships and be viewed as a team player that works in the best interest of the company
  • Skilled at training, motivating and coaching sales associates
  • Proven track record of sales growth
  • Highly competitive sales personality, with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25-50%
  • Ability to establish management framework that leverages CRM tools and processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
